Is there a way that you guys can increase the amount of decalls and bullet cases for the players that have a PC that can handle them? It would be cool to walk round the map, seeing bullet cases everywhere.

Search in ArmyOps.ini or user.ini, theres a line to mess with decals. (search for "=100").
-
everyone to there own.

but if you touch those, you maybe are banned then!

Huh? What are you guys talking about lol.
Those vars aren't cvar protected, no need to be scared.

I think Merlin might just have taken a stab in the dark on this one. But he's right in the sense that going on the .ini and starting to change random stuff might get the response he's referring to.

Seriously...i've already seen silly people banning for these kind of things in AAPG and even suggesting to do so to other people, as if disabling decals was going to give you an advantage.

I know that in the old version, disabling projecters could give you a very good advantage on maps like SF Village. All the explosion spots dissapeard, and enemy were caming there, thinking they were in a black zone, while they werent with projectors disabled.
But disabling or increasing decals, I don't see how that gives any advantage.

I just searched though the CVARS we use and could not find any reference to "Decal" or "Stay".
We can, if we find any exploitable setting, change the CVARS at any time, but at the moment it seems that there is no detected exploits concerning decals.

I get kicked sometimes in AAPG for performance tweaks, if I don't use them, I lag.
Just because some people are ignorant about inis, does not mean it is a magic trick to do anything with them.
All disallowed commands are blocked. You can change value of decal stay etc. It's not a problem at all.
The thing what I don't like is that people are ignorant about inis, especially in AA:PG, and just kick for "ini tweaking", because they think they actually get an advantage with it.
Newsflash for many of you, the settings which you are able to change (which are not blocked), do not give you any advantage. It just makes sure the performance of the game gets better. (ok, that can give an advantage if you lag, but not the kind of advantage these cvarfanatics think).
