I've been dying to get back into this game properly, and now I have a gaming rig arriving next week so I'm back to gaming again.
Looking for some active people to play with, pub/scrims whatever is still actually going these days.
Im from the UK used to prefer scrimming etc to pubs especially collapsed tunnel :)

What gaming laptops are out there? can you get a gaming laptop for 1000e?
-
You can get a laptop you can play AA with probably for 400? or so.
And for 1000 you can get a laptop that can play a lot of games. But it will hardly be a gaming laptop.
Don't know the specifics though.

Yes..im looking for a gaming laptop for AA...AA: PG! lol

I'm pretty sure any new laptop you buy that has a dedicated graphics card can handle AA2.
Someone who knows better can correct me if I'm wrong.
No idea about AAPG, though. My laptop can't handle it... although it wasn't a gaming laptop even 6 years ago (and then it cost around 800 euros).

I just did a brief look around and I'm fairly certain this would handle AA2 without a problem:

Pardon the Estonian, but I just wanted to show something for 400 euros that would definitely play AA. Found it on the first site I was looking at.
It's CPU seems to be a lot better than mine (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php) , mine is P8700 this has i3-4005U)
It's GPU is better than mine (http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-820M.108477.0.html (http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-820M.108477.0.html) , mine is 9650M GT)
I didn't look at anything else so all in all it might not be a great laptop so don't go off buying that one. It's just to prove a point.
One thing I did see was the resolution (1366x768) which is crap as hell... I wonder why the hell they make laptop screens with such a low resolution while everyone expects you to have a smartphone with full HD resolution...
Although laptopts with better resolution will most likely cost more.

hi teddy
it looks to me like your comp will run aapg, you only have to switch down the graphical default settings to its very lowest point :)

Lol. Not a long ago i tried to run AAPG on a (desktop) system with an AMD x4 620 cpu and a nvidia 9600gt (the 620 could still be fine for *some* basic gaming, but the 9600gt is plain old), and at 1024x768 i think the game was barely running at 25fps average, frequently lowering to 15/20 (smoke would make the game unplayable on similar systems), of course with a custome .ini in order to disable some un-needed features.

Exactly, tweak ini, and turn health bar and ammo hud off in AAPG.
For some reason, health bar lags very hard. Even with my rig I can only run it fluent with that disabled.

Hey, gawd I should check these forums more often.
My laptop specs are as follows:
Nvidia GTX 790m 3GB VRAM
16GB DDR3 (its also a programming laptop and i need the ram for virtual phones/machines and running unity environment)
i7-4710MQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)
Xfi sound card :)
It ran me about ?1100(GBP, forum doesnt like the pound symbol) and I've been running maxed out tomb raider etc (including hair physics) at 60fps, very, very happy with it.

That's a nice rig, should have no problem with AA :)
Although I don't know exactly how much activity the game will have during the holidays :)
