What you mean and suggest?

Remove the maps that are generally seen as unpopular. It's always been the case that there's noobs who just pick one of those random maps no one's ever bothered to play and fully strat it in the hope to get a win.

MAPLIST: (Round length)
Border (6) good map
Bridge Crossing (5) could be good, not sure cause of the def sidedness, but I think it's a good map since many know it
Bridge SE (6) good map
Collapsed Tunnel (3) good
Dusk (4) good
Headquarters Raid (4) good
Insurgent Camp (4) good
JRTC Farm Raid (5) good
Mountain Ambush (6) good
Mountain Pass (6) too def sided imo
Mountain Pass SE (8) could be good, but takes long, not sure if everyone got time for it
MOUT McKenna (3) very good map
Pipeline (4) good map
Radio Tower (7) it's too much running compared to fights, I think you should be good with river basin already
River Basin (5) moderate, bit defense sided.
SF Arctic (5) yay rpg
SF Blizzard (5) random obj, luck to win, remove it
SF Courtyard (5) totally random map, makes the game in favour of the lucky one
SF CSAR (5) good
SF Dockside (4) best spawn objective combination wins this, remove it
SF Extraction (4) just a plain no for east spawn and southeast spawn
SF Hospital (5) meh
SF Oasis (5) I never saw this as a good comp map.
SF PCR (5) Randomness wins
SF Pipeline (4) You already have pipeline?
SF Recon (8) I'd rather just take a nap.
SF SandStorm (4) good
SF Taiga (6) 6-6
SF Village (6) could be nice.
SF Water Treatment (5) random obj makes it unpredictable, wouldn't do this
Steamroller (5) could be nice, even with random obj and spawns, but wouldnt do it.
Swamp Raid (4) a big yes
Urban Assault (3) yes
Weapons Cache (5) a good map, but maybe it's better to only have WC or WCSE
Weapons Cache SE (6) see above
Woodland Outpost (5) meh

OVERTIME MAPS:
SF SandStorm (4) yes
SF Dockside (4) NO, random spawns
Urban Assault (3) yes

MOUT is a good OT map?

I stopped trusting this cup when sergio told us about funny story including the cup. Please make me believe it that this is going to be fair with no other advantage taken, then I might offer IGC too for the cupie:)

i think sergio mine the isreal guy but this guy is out the cup fix 3 guys from ht and 1 from nog clan.
i will fix the cup for fun and for clans or teams the have fun on scrims.so it is only for fun and we fix it fair!!!

Bart: Thanks for the overview. We will take it into consideration. But we dont want it to be only an oldschool map tournament. More maps cannot hurt anyone. About dockside, yes it is a random spawn / obj map but you can live and win with all combinations.

Overtime maps are now also MOUT and Steamroller making in 5 in total.

Wolf: That israeli guy has nothing to do with the cup. You can trust us that we try to make the cup fair for everyone. (european teams do get an advantage because of the servers) (read rules). And we wont do it like that sandz bs esl cup.


I think the cup will start sooner than november. Imo starting 1st September, not later. But we want to make sure everything is perfectly ready for the cup, so its hard to say when exactly. The website is the most important and most time consuming part right now. Also the rules needs some more attention. We dont want it to have any flaws whatsoever. Better start later than do changes on the fly.

Unlike Winter League, all teams are invited. They just need to follow AA25 forums, then they will know when it starts and so on.

about map bugs: It is best to just set in the rules something like:

Any use of map bugs or exploit results in winning the round for the opposing team. examples of these bugs are (examples)

In this way you will have every bug covered, even if you didn't know they exist. people should use their common sense in order to know wether they used a map bug or not (for example it should not be possible to jump on the shelf near west obj, people should not deliberately use the bug to see over the wall when tehy are moving against an obstacle which makes them hardly visible for others. They are all obviously exploits.

You obviously havent read the rules I wrote.

- It is up to the teams to decide on which server the match is going to be played. If there is not an agreement, the match will be played on a server located in Europe. You may ask the cup staff to prepare an official cup server for the match. The server is located in Central Europe, with low pings and minor lags.

Basicly it means: Brazil / USA / Australia vs Europe is going to be played in Europe.
