Just for security purposes
To mans:
Our roster and methods of play are in someway similar to the military. We have a chain of command, training/tactics for each map and we work together as a team. For a team to work correctly and with success, a team needs chain of command, a structure and methods.
The United Sim Army Teams, of which the 82nd Airborne is a unit, has been around for a long time (since 2003).
To Skrewup
We have a specific ranking structure for both enlisted and officers.
By having recruits begin at PVT, it allows for both the recruit and us to get to know each other
To Jonnym
Not as of now. COL Shad is working on it

Whenever you get PBSS's up for public give us the link so we can put it on the homepage.

if u want to get to know people and weed out clan hoppers have a month probation/evaluation time where after a month u let recruits into the clan proper with a rank to suit there skill/commitment level.
either way what u do is ur way of doing it, just the serious cb winning clan persona wont do u any good in 2.5 anymore, ur 6 years too late
SASF use that kind of system, tagging new recruits with -NR- along with the clan tag. Although lately recruiting conditions have become, let's say, much much more softly applied. Needless to say, lack of fresh meat.

That's what she said.

To Major
We have been around for a long time. Active in Americas Army since 2003.
And as you said, we have our way of doing things.
To BlueBlaster
Thank you
To Koden
My personal take on the potential lack of new players is simply lack of players being aware of AA2.5
Heck, the only reason I heard about 2.5 is because one day I had a few minutes to browse the BT forums. Bottom line is advertising and getting this version out there.
I bet you there are plenty of people who have played AA2 before and left when AA3 came out because of the high specs. I am sure also there are plenty of Mac and Linux players who would be interested in playing if they only knew about the game.
To Jared
Our servers are hosted on a dedicated box with datacenter in Texas. We run a few servers out of it.
Right now, I am on a phone wifi and I get respectively 202, 209, 197, 232. When I am on my normal FIOS connection I get about 30-40 in ping max

I appreciate you guys coming here and advertising 2.5Assist on other websites. I think it's necessary for us to have some serious clans. It only takes one to start a movement, the rest will follow. Plus, I sometimes get bored here when I don't have new topics to read :D

Thanks Blue
And I hope I don't offend anyone, either.
The 82nd/USAT is happy to be here and happy to have found old friends.

Thank you

I hope this is alright to do and is not breaching any rules. If so I apologize.
I would just like to give 82nd's post a yearly bump. 82nd is still going strong and is always recruiting. Drop by our website, http://82nd.us/modules/news/ (http://82nd.us/modules/news/) or our ts3 server at: 82nd.us to talk to one of our members about joining. Thank you for your time and thank you to the assist staff for you hard work and dedication to the game.
I didn't want to make an actual reply so people get to see your post but this is perfectly fine and not against any rules. As long as you're not being obnoxious (once a year is FAR from that), you're fine. -Spanky
