AA3 non map specific bugs
« on: Sunday, January 05, 2014, 19:57:26 PM »
Bug 1: Falling through the ground when you die
Very often you fall trough a object or even through the ground when you die on the AA3 maps, i never have this on the classic maps.

Bug 2: Where the soldiers smaller in AA3?
I haven't really played AA3 but i think the soldiers where a little bit smaller. In the converted AA3 maps the door and window frames seem to be a little bit smaller and some branches of tree's a bit low. This blocks me often when i try to run through door frames and removes the smoothness of the gameplay a bit. Don't know if this is fixable but i thought i at least mention it!

You're the first person to mention this. I assume they were, most doorways are shorter. All the doors on Pipeline were re-done, most of the doors on Alley. The rest... eh.

I had that wierd feeling of being oversized in comparison to a few things, like doors and the stairs inside that hotel (they look 40cm wide). But why were soldiers characters made on a different scale?

20% seems a bit high (no pun intended). If I had to guess, I'd say 10% but I don't have the two in front of me to compare. I guess ELiZ could convert the AA3 characters and import them, that would show a comparison.

Actually, I think the characters in AA2 were freakishly tall like 7ft because the devs didn't do the math right or something. Maybe that's why all the cars seem so small...

Maybe all "real" soldiers are 7ft tall? :D

And I think I heard ELiZ say that as well during the beta (I think we were playing AA3 bridge with ganja and him).
