Title: timeout waiting for verification response from selected game server

when trying to join an official server i get this message
ERROR:timeout waiting for verification response from selected game server. please try again later or try another server.
also noticed that assist keeps login me out
i can join unofficial servver but only for a min , then it kicks me and i notice i have been logged out of assist again?!?
please help

Severe packet loss...
Maybe shit wireless signal? or bad internet provider? or maybe some sort of firewall problem. Tho i did restart the master server about 1 or 2 hours ago, that would also have logged you out for a minute.

i think the problem may be with my firewall but have no idea how to solve this problem
its just very fu*^ing frustrating
any help would be muchly appreciated

What type of firewall is it? are you using wireless?

Looks more like a connection problem, he says he keeps getting logged off.

go to start -> run -> type cmd.exe -> once your black prompt window has opened, type:

ping 64.126.161.69:1716 and press enter (if you're from America)

ping 89.202.196.120:1716 and press enter (if you're from Europe or nearby countries)

Post here the results, or take a screenshot and upload it.

I have the same problem as Left.Hand.Of.God.
I have allow UDP ports (1716-1718) to my rooter firewall, do the same in w7 firewall.
Still getting the same message when i try to connect to any server.

Please help, any ideas about this issue?

You are logging into the game server using a different IP address from the one you used to Login to assist, Thats all i can say. I don't know why that would happen.

Either you have 2 ISP's or you're rebooting your modem between when you login to Assist and join the game server. This is something weird that shouldn't happen in normal circumstances. It's weird on your end.

Strange thing.

Until now I didn't notice any problems with any online games like AA 2.8.5, AA 3, Arma, Arma2 etc
My internet provider is the most common and stable that you can get in my area.

I notice one thing.. If i log in and don't make any "movement" like joining server etc after some time ( less than minute ) a have message that I have been log out. This is not a normal thing?

I can idle after logging in and that doesn't happen. It's not normal for Assist to say you're logged out unless your IP changes.

But Jonny knows better than I do.

I try to reboot my router few times and the game works.

Sound like a NAT/RIP problem, rebooting probly cleared the tables.
