Hello
2.5assist is a great project and I see the great future for AA2. Thank you for that and I hope you'll play as soon as possible:)
I have a problem with installing the game. During step 1, the error message about internet connection faild (see img)
Program at the firewall enabled, everything looks ok.
Os: Win7

try just re-downloading it again. I got this when i was downloading aa from assist and all i did was click the button and it started where it left off.

I have windows 7 ult 64x and assist works fine, how ever I didnt download aa2.5 directly from assist, I downloaded it from
http://americasarmy.filefront.com/file/AASF_Direct_Action_v25_Full_Install;48676
and then instead of using "download" use "find"
and all other maap and associated downloads worked fine.
thats just how I got it all I dont know why urs is saying u dont have internet but my way should circumvent the issue while/if johnny does work to fix it
If you do that, Assist just copies your install from Program Files to Assist's default location. This means you will have 2 installs of AA taking up needless space. I would recommend uninstalling AA via the control panel after Assist copies the files.

I tried to do as you are writing several times, but every time after ten seconds in the title, write a program does not work.

tried a second chance as he writes Major Screwup and unfortunately every time a program is not working.
Does not 25Asssist open some additional ports for downloading? Or does not need to allow any security rule for creating new folders. I think this is because step 1 to download up to 100% and then and error message. in the profile folder> AppData> 25assist archive is stored animations.7z. But it is not already in the extracted folder armyops.

25Assist uses Sourceforge for downloads I believe. There used to be a server selector so you could choose a different download location. Not sure what happened to that.

if you can play aa2 2.8.5 - and you can, i know - you dont have to open some other ports.
downlaod aa2assist from
http://aa25assist.sourceforge.net/ -> it will be a zip-file, named as: 25Assist.zip
unzip it all on desktop.
then run the 25Assist.exe with administration rights (right mouse - run as administrator)
maybe it will help you.
if not, then your internet connection has probably a problem.
try to download something else with this volume of data - for example aa2 2.5 from america's army.com.
if this is possible to download - then write again.
i would have to think about - but be sure, we will find the problem.

btw: the programm is located at (maybe delete this completely first - it's hidden, you have to unhide it):
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\25Assist

or try this and/or dowload it from below (like jonny posted):
Click on find, then goto settings and click complete re-install. If that does not work it doesn't like your internet connection or router or firewall or security software.
Failing that, Download americas army 2.5 from http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/AmericasArmy/Windows_v2.5.0/AmericasArmy250_Download.exe
Install that, and then let assist copy it using the find function.

I tried everything for your advice but my problem was solved only by creating new profile in OS.
