This is my former account, and I'm requesting that the account under that name is unbanned. The person that has been using this account was given PERMISSION BY MYSELF to use this account. You people need to grow the fuck up and pay attention. Maybe if you had contacted him first, you could have found out THAT I GAVE HIM PERMISSION TO HAVE THIS ACCOUNT. UNBAN THIS ACCOUNT OR I WILL CONTACT THE ARMY DESIGNERS AND HAVE YOUR RIGHTS TO PROGRAM AND RUN SERVERS FOR THIS GAME REVOKED. I AM A FORMER MILITARY SOLDIER OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY AND I STILL HAVE PULL. This account has no reason to be banned. Unban this account NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And just fyi I found out that this account had been banned by way of the user contacting me via telephone. He's a personal close friend, and I do not appreciate you guys treating him like this. This WILL be resolved NOW!!!! Otherwise I will be contacting a different close friend who happens to have been one of the original programmers of AA and have his CO revoke your rights to this game.

I didn't ban it so I won't unban it. I just have a few points to make;
1. Demanding something doesn't mean it will happen. It's more likely that it won't happen due to your poor attitude.
2. We have no "rights", we have no permission. So revoking it would do nothing, even if you could pull enough strings. If they wanted to stop us, they've had years to do it. As far as knowing people involved in the game, I've talked to a few devs a decent amount and they appreciate the work we're doing and the approaches we've used to keep the original gameplay alive. I don't know about you but my scale tips heavy in the direction of the group of developers with a passion to keep a nostalgic game alive.
3. Giving your account to someone is one of the stupidest things you could do in this game. Why? It's easy to setup an account and if that person tries on hacks/exploits, you will be banned as well due to linkage. Sure you can appeal it but a link is a link and you'll remain banned.
With all that said, maybe you can ask nicely and not cop an attitude. After all, you have no "right" to tell us what to do.

Just because my buddy is in Alaska several thousand miles away is using my account gives you or any other admin rights to ban it, ESPECIALLY when I gave him permission to have that account.

While it's not the best attitude to take, especially for a developer, we made Assist and we can do whatever we want. That's all the "right" we need.

First off, I apologize for my attitude. I'm just a tad bit perturbed by this action taken seeing as I gave him permission to use this. This makes absolutely no sense that he got banned simply because he isn't using the same username in-game or in forums.
So I do apologize. However, this action is just a slight bit stupid in my personal and professional opinion. Just because the name has changed doesn't mean the account is stolen. It would have been better if the admins actually "asked" what is going on, rather than just simply banning it. I was playing with him last night on another account, but had to setup a new account today because my email didnt recognize. I reinstall my OS on my laptop, and now I can't remember or recover my password. So yes, if you look at my current account, there's no history to it.
But what difference does that make? I own the 255th name, including 255th_DCO_GA=Mass. If you want proof, I will gladly give you my contact number and e-mail and give you my personal full name so you can do a whois on www.255th.com where my clan is being born at. I will gladly verify any information you need to verify that this account was and is a legitimate account.

Sharing accounts is risky only when you do not know the person personally. However, this person I know personally. And whoever is trying to use my clan name, they will be found out and punished to the extent of the law. I own that name, and will not have it tarnished, not for any game.

Thanks for calming down. I don't think this is an issue of Account Stealing (I can't see any reasoning behind that) but rather an account linked to one that was banned for hacking.
I'm not sure why that post is private for admins only so here's the quote from the original post:
82nd_G1_PVT=Swift was removed from the 82nd when he was found to be hacking and him and another are now the 255th Infantry Division.

ELiZ just said, "Account Stealing" was not the right term to use, it's a previous ban. As far as disgracing the Army, yea right. Keeping the game alive with the values and gameplay it had when it first came out and banning cheaters is a definite disgrace.
