I don't see a reason to use Win8 if u already have Win7 running fine(if you are plannning to use win8 "for ever")
and I'm still on win XP :)

I have win7 ultimate, its fine. I dont like win8... 7 is better

As stated, it's normal for windows 8.
And furthermore, as stated in an other thread (about this same issue, you should really try the search function :) ), searching on google will reveal that AA is not the only game this happens to on windows 8.

Ya I upgraded to windows 8 a few weeks ago and its running fine so far, except those pink screenshots.

*Off-topic* I play with Win7 but installed recently Win8 on my portable and i'm considering upgrade my desktop also. It's quicker than 7, so why not make the leap?

I have to admit, I disabled metro and installed start8 to use the normal start menü, I think 8 is a bit quicker than 7.

I think Windows 8 should be blocked until this issue is resolved by PB or Microsoft. Since it's related to more than just AA, it should be worked on.

That is what i thought too when i heard about these issues. I agree that Win8 users should be blocked as long as this issue isn't solved.

just let the server admins decide that. there is still the possibility to ban a player, if he is suspect.
do not put an operation system into a hacking tool supporter. it is not good to block windows8 useres, realy not!
btw: i do not use win8 anymore because of other problems.

This is no AA2 only problem. You got pink screenshots in AA3 and bf3 too, both games using pb too.
BTW: there was problem with black screens at the beginning of windows 7 too. Did Pragmatic or anybody else decide to ban all Windows 7 users in 2.8.5?

For my part I wont uninstall Windows 8, because its running fine and pretty much better than 7.
And seriously: Who of the real cheaters is stupid enough to get caught by screenshots in the last month.

we aren't going to ban you rofl :) and somehow I think EB still do things at AA2 PB, cuz if I remind thye removed AA2 from their update software(PBSetup?) and now AA2 is there again, not to mention that PB still resolve AAO.EB. dns

If you ran an undetected hack, by definition it wouldn't be detected, therefore it really shouldn't matter what version of Windows you use. Heck I'll go out on a limb here and say the undetected hack would probably send the server "valid" PBSS even on Windows 8.
