Hello,

Battletracker is not responding, so can't log in.

Is a quick code rewrite needed?

Hello,

Seems to be working again now.

But having seen the other topic with BT support being dropped, guess that a code rewrite might be needed to stop the check at login.

Think he talking about the gamespy one.

@ CS, BT will be losing its ability to track, this wouldnt affect logging in afaik, unless they decide to delete the aa accounts. according to gamespy that they wont be shutting down it servers until may.

@ ELiZ , is there a way for you to "download" the player database ( I know it's not that simple )? Then have AAO2.5 in full control.

Like said before, there have been steps taken to ensure that Assist could run without Battletracker, which includes tracking both honor and kills/deaths. This would include having the info from Battletracker ported over.

Now this stuff is nowhere near ready to take over at any time, but it exists.

We do not have access to the account system of Battletracker.com, and that's the biggest thing. Eliz can get the player stats, but we still need to use battletracker for the accounts system.

I know at -ACI- we had the capability to track several things, Rifle was really good at that sort of thing, but we took quite a bashing over it though.

Our tracking has been active for a few weeks now.
I've been preparing for a BT shutdown for a while now.
I've grabbed the data needed to get an account management in place if we need to.
