My sons assist isn't opening up. Get an error message that says his password is incorrect and try logging into battle tracker first. He can log into battle tracker just fine. Tried to re-install assist with the same results. After clicking "ok"
on the error message the assist login window will blink on but not stay so he can enter the password. I think he closed the window at last login without the password entered with the remember me box checked and now it will not open. Any suggestions on a fix would be great. He can't play till I figure this out.

On Windows:
There is a file, 
Code: [Select]
%appdata%\25Assist\settings.dat

Delete that and try again

Hey!

For some reason i can't download AA3 maps/files with Assist. It always stops at some point during the download.
Is it possible to download those files manually from somewhere else?

make sure you have freespace in your C,
because the aa3maps are about 300MB or something like that.
if still didnt work just reinstall the game , go to install and press Complete reinstall it should work i think

I have plenty of space (800gb) and i already tried to reset + repair AA and complete Re-install but it just  doesn't work. Re-install goes fine but after that when it tries to download those AA3 maps/files it just stops.

When i try to join AA3 server error message is:

Connection failed
downloading "aa3_map" not allowed

Did you try to delete local files, and re open assist, so it will download em?

Reset+Repair AA does that.

We use Sourceforge.org to host the files, it might be that your location uses a mirror that sometimes has issues:

Didn't want to create a new topic, nor post in the shoutbox about a few findings.


ArmyOps logs can be found here: Local Disk (C) / Users / (Your User Name) / AppData / Roaming / 25 Assist / ArmyOps / System / ArmyOps (Log file) look at the type) If its not there, start armyops from system and it should appear new log file.
Open it with notepad.

You can't join your own server using Assist server manager tool.
If your friends can't join your server, make sure all ports are open.
To create a server, open all ports, create a new server (in managers tool), place your own details for the server, start a server, track it on battletracker.

Ask all the help on the forum, shoutbox help will be ignored.
