Hi,
I get an unauthorized login and immediate kick (stating 1 day ban) every time I try to join a server.
I have reinstalled / repaired / deleted / reinstalled etc., the game a few times in trying to fix it to no avail. Assist running as admin etc.
For reference, even though my name has the green circle next to it in Assist (assuming that means logged in), if i try to submit a word in the shoutbox under the "sitrep" tab, it won't let me. Instead it gives me the following error shown in the picture I've attached.
Anything else to try?

Are you using a VPN or something like that? Sometimes that can mess things up.
-
Nope, just your typical router. It was working fine for a couple days then this started happening.
The FAQ said to change your ingame name (so I did) which did not fix it. So I waited 24 hours and changed it back.
Any other ideas? Seems like there's something up with my name / account in the auth system.

I registered a new account "mastakilla" on the forums / for in game to test.
If the new name does the same thing, it's clearly something on my end. If it actually works and can join servers, somehow my old name is bugged out somewhere in the auth system that I have no control over.

And of course the admins denied that account. So that makes sense.

There's no issues with the login handshake as far as I can tell.
What you can try is disconnect the PC from the landline internet and connect through a mobile hotspot.
That's not obviously a permanent solution, but if the mobile hotspot scenario works, it's most likely your ISP blocking some ports. Some ISPs have been known to block some ports. So while the login itself is successful, subsequent packets won't be able to be sent.

Thanks for the response. I was able to join with a mobile hotspot.
Are there any ports outside of the standard one's for AA that Assist uses that I need to make sure are open?

I think these should be sufficient:
TCP: 14200, 20025-20048
UDP: 1716-1718, 8777, 27900
As for which ones are likely to have been blocked by your ISP, this is what ChatGPT suggested:
The UDP ports (1716–1718, 8777, 27900) and possibly the auth TCP port (e.g. 20046 or a port in 20025–20048) are good candidates for being blocked by ISPs in practice.
