Last night we were having problems with paintball crashing the server and somebody told me it was an age old problem with shooting the boxes.  Anyone know about this?

Is it a Linux server? That might have something to do with it. That's why physics isn't on all maps. Mac & Linux have issues with it.

I use windows hosting ( vortextservers ) and I don't have a problem on paintball. Played it many times, no crashes.
