As subject says, tried alsa, oss and pulse, no sound in game at all

Do you have i386 version of this packages?

Yes that did it. I had to enable i386 arch packages with dpkg and then install pulseaudiodsp:i386 I think it was called.

you need to install the 32 bit part, no ?
