Title: New anti spam 203/Frags/Flashes
Post by: ELiZ on Sunday, October 19, 2014, 18:32:23 PM
if you edit aa25.ini and add these two lines

Code: [Select]
spamprotecttimenades=0
spamprotecttime203=0

And increase the values to how many seconds you want the protection to be active from round start.
If a user still nades/203 he will get a warning. after 5 warnings player will be kicked.
The 203/Nades used before timer, will be without any damage.

Tell us if you use it.

we would use it if we had a server on hospital permanently, but it's not a map specific setting

Will you be able to pull up the flash/203 without getting the warning? Or will the shaking bs start if you press your flash/203 button, or is it activated once you actually fire it/throw it?

This is bad btw, it's shit.

its not shaking- you just get 1-2 seconds after fireing the warning.

as an example:
i did that at extraction, when spamming from north to west or west to south or ....

within the first 20 seconds no nades or 203, otherwise you get 4 warnings as much as you can for one round.
second round you should not fire that nade, otherwise the 5th and last warning will be released - and you get kicked.

for me, i love that.

sure u have to do something. hospital lost many players since the change. its just a question of time and hospital is gone. no one wants a map where are only C gun singleshot campers in every corner. i always told u... make a 15-20 sec spam rule and everything is good. otherwise more and more ppl will leave hospital.

Single shot campers? Is that something new? I wouldn't be scared of em tbh compared to 203 campers

Just played again after a few weeks and i loved that there weren't any HT spamming with the 203.
However, I also got a feeling that the time rule would be better than disabling the 203 for good.
I want to noobtube from garage..

hey ELiZ, would it be possible to get the time and ban duration on parameters for admin, like
warnings after = 5 (now) but as a parameter like 1-5
ban for = ? don't know yet, but I did see you put them on banlist.txt - would be nice to configure the duration by admins too.

btw: great work as always. thanks.
