Can't shoot when leaning
« on: Saturday, January 04, 2014, 15:59:23 PM »
Hi. I can't shoot when leaning. My keys are by default , and . to lean left and right. I tried on 2 different bridge crossing servers and I just can't shoot when I'm leaning. Any help would be appreciated.

Well you should be able to shoot while leaning that's for sure.

Can you shoot while not leaning? LOL

I've never heard of such a "bug" before.

I can shoot when not leaning. When I hold down the button to lean I can't fire a single shot.

I'm on a laptop using Windows 8.1

Since it's a laptop, maybe it's a low-end keyboard and you can't press certain combinations at once? Try pressing other keys and see if you can shoot. I know on my keyboard that is a little older, there's some key combos that won't work.

Have you accidentally pressed ctrl+shift? That messes up your keyboard, by pressing it again it's set to your normal settings.

Key 2 for shoot is ctrl and ctrl shoots when leaning just not the mouse click,

Probably a mouse keyboard combination problem I'll try to get a different mouse and see.

It was the (bad) mouse. Is there a good mouse you guys recommend or just about any will do?

Have you tried to enable "Toggle lean" in settings? Maybe that will solve your problem.

True, that's a good idea. It means you don't have to keep pushing the lean button, so you can actually shoot at same time.

And for a new mouse, I recomend a simple logitech one.

Go to a store and see how various models feel in your hand. The best mouse is one that won't give you cramps or have a frustrating feel to it.

I am using a Logitech one. (M305) with a wireless nano receiver. It's a keyboard mouse combination problem, whenever I have a keyboard key pressed down the mouse doesn't click. Even in the Assist Deploy lobby or anywhere else for that matter.

When I tried an optical mouse with cable (not wireless) everything works.

Try a different USB port, as far away from the one you're currently using as possible. Could be an IRQ issue (though those seem to be long gone).

Okay switching to the USB port on the other side of the laptop seems to have fixed it so the wireless was messing with something.

I still feel the Logitech wireless is not as responsive as the optical wired Microsoft mouse I tried.

Wireless mice lag more than wired mice, because of physical reasons. I also use wireless, and it really lags more.
