Duff go to ur sound settings then comunications and u should see an option that says lower the sound 70% or something like that. Select do nothing. If ur using windows 7 It should do the trick. I made a post about that a while ago.
hi guys ..i have a problem ...i play aa3 and aa4 and i dont have problem... when i play 2.5 volume is so low..pc setting volume at max ,aa settigs volume at max...what do you thinks ??what is the problem?? y so much
Noofy, OpenAL won't work in AA, it's disabled in the engine and anything you add will get removed by Assist as a security precaution. Just use the regular sound, it works fine. On a side note, OpenAL works on all systems 32 or 64-bit, you're probably talking about the EAX effects in operating systems after XP where Creative's shitty effects no longer work without a hack.
Does anyone still have problems with the openAL sound in AA and 64bit systems. I found this thing called OpenAL-Soft, which supposedly is better at positioning and overall performance. I'm gonna try it, but since it's newer, I wonder if it's even compatible with AA.
Leg, with your grammar and attitude, I think you need to direct that "crappy father" comment towards a mirror. Learn to read and then to comprehend. I never said playing in the same room was stupid, I said letting him use your personal computer is stupid. I've seen plenty of computers ruined by parents letting their kids use them. Physical damage, viruses, files being deleted. But, hey, if you don't care about your stuff, go for it :)
nss u r right i know how,,,,i just follow the rules....spanky what are u an idiot if i wanna play AA with my son in the same room on two diff. pc's whats wrong with that....dont have jids u might be a crappy father dude
@teddy @Spanky thanks guys, you're right. Tried playing a HD video and it barely plays, not sure but maybe my GPU/CPU has broken. Sorry for accusing the update. Spanky would you mind check the 'Forget Password' option for the Assist Forums. I tried to reset it, but no letters have come to my email (I tried multiple times). I am sure the email is right as I tried both the username and email. Thanks.
2 things were changed in the update, neither of which affect performance. The first was an update to the loading screen text (new lines were added). The second was an update to mAAp Breakout that provides fixes for various ladders. That's it, nothing else.
@Svyatonmac: No, nothing of the sort was changed. If your EnemySpotted button changed, it's because you reinstalled your game. Like I said, there were only 2 files updated and neither of them change neither keybinding nor performance.
@teddy no idea what they did in that update, but it sure has degraded my performance. I restarted my Mac and did a comple re-install and it didn't help. I also noticed they removed the ability to change 'Enemy Spotted' button, as you used to do that in 'Edit User.ini' but not anymore - which is also a problem as I liked that to be 'i' button.
@iSyvaonmac, It's highly doubtful that the update did anything to your performance. All that was updated was the mAAp Breakout map and a file that changes the messages you get when you're loading a map.
Can anyone please put-up a post on the forum about poor fps after the update. I tried to log-in myself, but need to reset my password (for the forums) and no idea why, but I am not receiving the letter about its reset (another issue to solve). Basically after the update I am getting 20 fps, whereas yesterday it was 40. [Running in Mac OS on Macbook Pro 2010] Thank you.
