Video Tutorial: How to get started with Assist
« on: Sunday, July 27, 2014, 18:48:32 PM »
If you're already here, chances are you already figured out how to install Assist. This video is more of a promotion to show how easy it is to get started and the correct way to move the installation folder.

Check it out here:

Please post suggestions on what kind of tutorial to do next and any feedback you may have.

Nice!
Only the sound quality is not so good,  using a headset and I'm now almost deaf...

Headset would be the issue for that, turn it down or get some real speakers/headphones.

I recorded with a crappy mic and there's background noise but it's fine.

The background noise is for my standard to high, thats my only comment.

For the part where I need to buy real headset, well its the real deal.

I refuse to buy a quality mic for a free game tutorial on YouTube. The point gets across and with good speakers/headphones (not a headset) there's nothing shrill or painful about the audio.

There's nothing wrong with the recording, it's perfectly understandable even though it does have a little static.

I've posed this question before and will again:
Whose AA takes up less than 2GB?
Mine is 4.64 GB and that includes ~300 MB of SS and ~400 MB of demorecs, which means that the game itself is almost 4 GB instead of the 1.95 GB it says on installation. Thats twice as much as we're saying you need.

Now I'm not saying it takes too much room, I'm saying it says it takes 2 GB, while in reality seems to take 4 GB. This is a problem especially if you want to install it on the C:\ drive, which (at least for me) is a system drive only and doesn't have much excess space.

I've changed it in the client. It will be visible in the next release of the Assist Client.

Heh, I probably should have checked that before saying it. There's a difference, too, between the download amount and extracted amount.

Mine's a fresh install and is at 3.78GB.

Merlin is right, someone should add the link to the video on the Getting Started page and 'alternatively' leave the text with the pictures.

Done.
I don't know how easy or hard it would be to implement a youtube box like here on the forums? Would draw ones eye better IMHO.

What do you mean? Embed the video?

Also, I'm uploading the next video for Account & Training.
