Windows XP 32-Bit would do that, as would any 32-bit OS.

Show me your Task Manager, Performance tab.

Have you tried with default clocks & voltage? I would also check the cpu that there aren't any bent pins.

Looks legit. 24GB is a fair bit for a non-server motherboard to handle. You might see if there's a BIOS update available.

Short of that, remove all your sticks and run compressed air into the memory slots and reseat them.

CPU-Z will also tell you what sticks/slots are being recognized and potentially what slot(s) are problematic. If it's one whole channel that's out, you might have a CPU issue.

Either way, BIOS and other firmware updates are always good.

What are you guys doing with 24GB? It's not often I'll push past 8GB but then again, I don't render or do Photoshop work.

Its all about finding your components on sale / price matching.

I picked up my corsair a50 cooler for like 20$ ( 19.99 without a mail in rebate :) ) - regular price is around 60.

Your a chump or have too much money if you pay mrsp / full retail for anything!
