« on: Monday, February 06, 2012, 15:50:39 PM »
Hey guys, i m back this time on windows 7. When i create a server on assist on windows7, it goes offline after couple minutes, plus i cant join my server well at the start when i run the server it says ready to deploy when i joining it comes with AA menu screen and sticks with it and doesn't go to the game. It only works if i m in the server when i joining through assist server i need to reconnect to someone can join. I opened ports i guess, but port forwarding says they are closed idk i think i did everything opened ports on firewall in and out also opened on 192.168.1.1 maybe i did something wrong opening ports? My internet is Talktalk.
Windows7
192.168.1.1 Called huawai Echo Life Gateway any information would be helpful or anyone is online could help me?using team viewer?

For any additional answer would be great. Any pic, links videos would appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Virus, I'm not as smart as the other guys but here's what I know. Check the ports again. Here's a picture of how I have my router set-up and my server runs fine.

My router address is 192.168.0.1 btw. So maybe you should use 192.168.1.100 for your private IP if you can set that on your router.

Also check if your router has NAT Loopback. Make sure NAT Loopback is enabled. Information: http://www.google.com/search?q=nat+loopback

I would not bother mate, talk talk use some mean traffic shaping that means point to point UDP traffic that AA uses will be slowed down or stopped completely, If you did get it working it would lag like crap in the evenings.

I took a look at TalkTalk corporate website, seems like they offer services at suspicious prices...do they trade off quality for money?

6? Italy only has 4 truly national ones i think (Vodafone, Telecom, Wind, Fastweb).

they may offer you 20mbit or whatever but you share a 100mb pipe with about a million other people with traffic managment, (maybe exagerated)

Uhuh. I get it. Downsizing resources for maximising their profits letting people think believe that they can maintain such foolish promises.

with like 53 servers for 40 players right now I'd say the game doesnt really need any more servers

We also do not want to play on crappy home servers when there are ones in datacenters on fast connections around..  If it for use within your local area go ahead but I think people with home server should add something like [HS] to the name.

when you join a server motd line 4 will say an assist dedicated server or a desktop server. But there are server hosting companys that are using the desktop version so i guess it means nothing really.

yes.
and there are some home servers, that are much faster then the most of the dedicated ones.
so it realy means nothing, this motd line 4
