To anyone who has played these games, is it worth buying both call of pripyat and shadow of chernobyl for $8.74

To anyone who hasnt played them, they are on sale as a pack for $8.74 on steam.

whats the storyline like, if i'm going to play an rpg i'd really like a deep storyline like the mass effect and fallout games have had

STALKER isn't really an RPG. it is an FPS with some RPG elemets. Like you can upgrade your weapons and armor and you have an inventory. That is about it.

The STALKER series is the best game series I have ever played. $10 for SoC and CoP is a steal.
The game will take some getting used to, you can just run n' gun like CoD or BC2. Play on a harder difficulty and you will see. Also a quick note, SAVE OFTEN. Shadow of Chernobyl works by you manually saving the game. There are only autosaves once you enter a new area. So save often.
Also, play Shadow of Chernobyl first, then Call of Pripyat.

Stalker is way deeper than Fallout 3. I suggest to any gamer to get SoC.
