Having trouble since update...
« on: Monday, October 20, 2014, 09:00:24 AM »
Since i updated to 8.16 I keep getting an error message:

Error: Timeout waiting for reply from authorisation system, please try again

I've tried to delete an reinstall assist but Im not sure if Im deleting it all properly?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Of course I can even reach the reset and repair tab.

hi Killville
just wait a few minutes and try again. it looks like the auth server connection is having a short problem.

i think the uninstall was not nessessary :)

if you would like to delete all before a fresh installation, then have a look at the FAQ

I cant even click on Deploy. I keep getting that error. I tried deleting all assist files that I could find and reinstall but its not working. I keep getting that error. I found an old account so honor shouldnt be the problem.

here is the installation, if you are using windows:

%appdata%

go there (cd %appdata%) and delete everything. no need to restart computer, no entries are made at registry.

I found that and deleted it. Still getting the error. Its not even fully allowing me to login. I wonder if its a WinRar problem...it seems like it never fully deletes from there? I've tried to delete all files from there as well.

you have to download the zip file. then unzip it to a folder of your wish or to the desktop (what i wouldn't).
go to your new folder with the unziped files and doubleclick the aa25??exe. then the installation will start. it takes about 10 minutes with a good connection. then you can start aa25assist.
good luck.

I clicked on  25Assist.exe to run it but it doesnt do a full install. It just opens up assist then takes me to login. Cant even login from there. Keep getting that stupid error message. I tried  system restore on my laptop but that didnt work either.

Not sure what I did but I got it to work. Think it was a file in WinRar that I didnt delete before. Thanks for the help.
