What about your graphical settings in game then? If you loosen them into their minimal, are you still suffering from same issue? What if your graphic card is just dusty and can't breath

Do you have two displays, are you able to open some activity monitor on one display so you could see what there is happening while the freeze appears?

Yes, I have tried this with 2 different drivers.
I don't think I'v had this issue with other games just now with AA.
Just to remind! I have just played the training and only tried online because this issue.

I first time used minimal setting just to be sure it runs perfectly and tried other too when I noticed this issue.
And if it was dusty I think it would act the same way in other games like cs:go, civilization...

Okay so it shouldn't be hardware- or driver issue either. Have you tried reinstall? Removing game compeletely and installing it again from new installer to its default location has solved many issues, might sound ridiculous but if it's somehow game related thing then it might work.

Edit. Reinstall might be worth of trying but I actually doubt if it helps

since you have two displays, open that system diagnostics to other display and check how much running processes are eating performance at your computer and what happens there on your active processes when your main display goes black, or does your other display do the same? And because other games work with no issues I doubt if it's hw / driver issue

Check Radeon AMD Settings (Gaming > Global Settings), if you're forcing Anti-Aliasing and/or Anisotropic Filtering, leave both as "Use application settings", in case you want your global settings untouched, create a profile for AA2, browse to "25Assist\ArmyOps\System\ArmyOps.exe" location.

Actually though why haven't I reinstalled it.
And now started to do it until I realized that someway windows doesn't know the AAO is "installed" on your computer because I couldn't find Assist or AAO on my Control Panel -> Programs list.
Well, deleted all files and folders it had created and downloaded it again and "installed".
No difference to the issue. (I would have hoped it had been so easy.)
Checked my performance and the blinking doesn't really affect it...
Also the other display also blinks.

okay, game wont make your both displays blink so then I'd point my finger again at your hw, - their system settings or drivers

ah these windows problems, gotta love my mac

I would say that its definately hw/driver issue, but as you have tried different drivers, it seems it could be hw related.

Download some program to monitor your temperatures, hardware monitor or speedfan and check it out when you get that black screen by alt+tabbing if you can do that.

Yes, you wrote it doesnt happen with other games. It still can be overheating etc. Even while it happens with just one game.

I googled for this and seems that many people have had this kind of issue with just certain game and most of those topics include the suspicion for overheating (in answers.)

So I downloaded Open Hardware Monitor.
It seems that temperature isn't the problem.
These are what I got:
AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Clocks
-GPU Core 850 MHz
-GPU Memory 800 MHz (as it always is...)
Temperatures
-GPU Core 40 celcius
Fans
-GPU Fan 2890 rpm (or something close to that)

You need some other values I didn't mention? Just ask.
